Caveats: (1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 446,633 leaving 731 units built in the U.S. unaccounted for in the above figures. (2) Production for Canada is listed at 23,688 units but specific series/model are not included in the series/model figures for 1966. The 23,688 number is pretty evenly split between 6-cylinder and 8-cylinder engines with 11,731 6-cylinder models and 11,957 8-cylinder models built. However, it is known from GM of Canada documentation that there were 230 series/model 13267 V8 300 convertibles built and 5,081 13617 V8 Malibu sport coupes built. (3) GM of Canada did not include all model lines of its U.S. counterpart, only the 300 series and Malibu series were produced. As a sort of compensation, a 300 series convertible was offered in Canada and the base sedan pickup was based on the 300 series and not the 300 Deluxe series.

Caveats: (1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 393,843 units leaving 10,120 U.S.-built Chevelles unaccounted for. 403,963 - 393,843 = 10,120 (2) Canadian production figure for 1967 is not known and those specific series/model are not included in the series/model figures for 1967. However, according to GM of Canada documentation provided owners there were: 867 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13817. 5,803 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13617. (3) The highest VIN sequence reported so far for Oshawa is 111318. (4) The term 'Produced for Sale in Canada' does not infer the unit was assembled in Canada. (5) n/a indicates the series/model was not available with that engine type
Caveats: The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 464,699 and matches figures above. (2) Canadian production figure for 1968 is reported by Canadian Classic Chevelles & Beaumonts to be 26,118 units and those specific series/model are not included in the series/model figures above for 1968. In addition, according to GM of Canada documentation provided to owners, there were 1,161 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13837. (3) The highest VIN sequence reported so far for Oshawa is 101011. (4) The term 'Produced for Sale in Canada' does not infer the unit was assembled in Canada. (5) n/a indicates the series/model was not available with that engine type.
Caveats: (1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 522,761 and does not match figures above. The 503,352 figure here does include 15,356 units built in Canada for import. (2) Subtracting the 503,352 figure from 522,761 VIN's leaves 19,409 units assumed to be for Canada consumption. (3) GM of Canada reports 10,828 13637 Malibus produced for sale in U.S. and Canada and 769 equipped with the L34 engine. (4) n/a indicates the series/model was not available with that engine type.
(2,673 units of 13437 were produced according to GM of Canada) (10,828 units of 13637 were produced according to GM of Canada; 1,598 equipped with L35 396 cid engine)

Caveats: (1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 660,012 and does not match figures above. The 633,944 units shown here include the Monte Carlo (not built in Canada) as well as 45,923 imported from Canada for inclusion in U.S. production figures. If one subtracts the reported 71,980 Chevelles built in Oshawa (with Canadian VIN's), that leaves 588,032 VIN's reported. This figure is still 45,912 units short of the figures on this page. (2) There were 53,599 Malibu/Custom El Camino series were equipped with RPO Z25 SS396 option and 8,773 were ordered with RPO Z15 SS454 option. Breakdown of LS5 to LS6 engines in the 8,773 Z15 quantity is 4,298 LS5s and 4,475 LS6s. (3) There were 3,823 Monte Carlos were equipped with RPO Z20 SS454 option. (4) n/a indicates the series/model was not available with that engine type. (5) Only certain series/models were listed as being imported from Canada. Where there is no import figure, that series/model was not imported. (6) Of the 25,938 V8 Malibu Sport Coupes imported from Canada 3,306 were equipped with Z25 SS 396 Equipment option and 299 with Z25 SS 454 Equipment. Canada also imported from the U.S. 231 Malibu Sport Coupes and 329 13680 El Caminos. Some of those imported into Canada were LS6 optioned since Canada built no LS6 Chevelles.

1967 according to GM of Canada documentation provided owners there were: 867 units produced for sale in Canada for series/model 13817.

I had the production figures for 67 and 68 but they only say the number made for US and Canada in the 1969 figures. Does anyone have the number of 69 SS396 Chevelles made in Canada for Canada. It should be on the VVS paperwork from Oshawa.

2,367 13637 VIN cars were produced in Canada in 1969 for both the US and Canadian market. I have seen different figures for the number of Chevelles produced for Canada. I would like to have definite numbers.
cool thanks for the info, the die hard pontiac gurus wont like it but theres alot of valuable canadian gm info to be had,and not many american sites cater to us
reading about chevelles brings me to a '66 malibu 396 car in my home town in bc.the owner stripped the paint off 10-15 years ago but otherwise it was complete and for sale in the early '90's for a whopping $1000.unfortunately I couldn't come up with the $.i'm still trying to get it but the price has jumped up significantly.next time i'm back there i'll see if i can get some pic's.the car hasn't been driven in about 20 or so years!!!! question:how many '66 Strato-Chief's 2 door posts w/ SeaFoam Green paint are left ?also for "you" Pontiac freaks-i'm in the know of a couple of really nice '64 Pontiac's-a Bonneville that's stunning with the original 389 and 8 lug wheels. the other is a Grand Prix that's all black-inside and out-loaded.same as Bonneville w/ 389 and 8 lug wheels.both are really beautiful cars and deserve to be driven.I did the bodywork on the Grand Prix in '95-'96 and it hasn't been driven since!!!it's basically a turn key car, just have to put the dash back together.the Bonneville needs nothing.and what a beautiful car this is.i live in Calgary and i have yet to see one as nice as it.when i hear of a price i WILL post it.i talked to the owners wife and she told me a package deal.she really wants them gone.i'd like to see these two beauties go to good loving homes.i'll dig up my pic's and post them as soon as i can.oh and apparently there is a 'Chief (2 door post)in a wrecking yard not to far from Calgary.so i know of 2 in Alberta-mine and the one in the wrecking yard.any other's?

reading about chevelles brings me to a '66 malibu 396 car in my home town in bc.the owner stripped the paint off 10-15 years ago but otherwise it was complete and for sale in the early '90's for a whopping $1000.unfortunately I couldn't come up with the $.i'm still trying to get it but the price has jumped up significantly.next time i'm back there i'll see if i can get some pic's.the car hasn't been driven in about 20 or so years!!!! question:how many '66 Strato-Chief's 2 door posts w/ SeaFoam Green paint are left ?also for "you" Pontiac freaks-i'm in the know of a couple of really nice '64 Pontiac's-a Bonneville that's stunning with the original 389 and 8 lug wheels. the other is a Grand Prix that's all black-inside and out-loaded.same as Bonneville w/ 389 and 8 lug wheels.both are really beautiful cars and deserve to be driven.I did the bodywork on the Grand Prix in '95-'96 and it hasn't been driven since!!!it's basically a turn key car, just have to put the dash back together.the Bonneville needs nothing.and what a beautiful car this is.i live in Calgary and i have yet to see one as nice as it.when i hear of a price i WILL post it.i talked to the owners wife and she told me a package deal.she really wants them gone.i'd like to see these two beauties go to good loving homes.i'll dig up my pic's and post them as soon as i can.oh and apparently there is a 'Chief (2 door post)in a wrecking yard not to far from Calgary.so i know of 2 in Alberta-mine and the one in the wrecking yard.any other's?
I have a white one , that could be green for the right $$$$$
