That would make a very sweet 327 4 speed bench seat car.

that would be a neat one to restore, and i agree with a 327 4 speed also.

Very little rust for a Ontario car.

This looks like one I went to see in the downtown Toronto area off Yonge Street about 5 or 6 years ago. It's the same color. If it is the same one, it was pretty rusty, too far gone in my view. But it might not have been the same car as this one.

I bid a maroon on red 62 Strato Chief up to $9750.00 last fall at the Ron Fawcett auction in Whitby. It was a 6 cyl stick car, in excellent condition. I had visions of a sleeper with a 327 or 409/4spd combo in it, but under $10K was my limit once I factored in the auction fees, taxes and most prohibitively, the cost to ship it home.

The one other guy who was bidding on it kept going and got it for $9900.00. It was a sweet car, and the only one I bid on all weekend. Does anyone know what happened to it? I just hope it didn't get cut up and customized like the lowrider style Laurentian I saw in Barrie back in 2000 or 2001.

The Fawcett car was the second 62 2 dr post I missed - I had (regrettably) passed on a black on green 6 cyl auto Laurentian in Mississauga back in 1999. I wonder what happened to that one? Maybe it was the lowrider I saw at Barrie?
