A/C Question

I need to know if the A/C cooler from a 70 Bonneville will fit into a 70 GTO. The rad supports are different, but they may use the same brackets?
Also is there a place in Canada that carries A/C coolers or lines if it won't fit?
Thanks

Are you talking specifically the condenser? If so, yes, it is the same.

Here is a pic. It's banged up, but I think a rad place could fix it.

It's a bit tough to see but it looks like one of those combs for rads would do it. Why not buy one of them and spend time on it yourself? No sense paying someone else to do work you can easily do. Do you know if the system still had a charge in it? That way at least you would know it has been pressure tested.

Have no idea on the system. I'm getting it from Pascal and both of us were wondering if that piece was worth shipping. He had to cut one of the lines.
On that line....I'm sure I can put a fitting in at the cut point. So if it fits in my GTO rad support I'll ask him to take it out and ship it. It don't have to look good......just work since it will go on the daily driver.

Did he have to cut the line because a threaded fitting was seized? The best idea with a/c is the fewest possible connections (to leak) so if you are adding another connection you add another possible problem area.

It certainly should fit and by the pics I would say it should be relatively easy to straighten the fins.

I think it was seized? I can always look for another line as well. I need the old one, so I know what I'm looking for and if I don't find one I'll make the old one work in a pinch.
