409 Pontiac Parisienne - don't know anything but what is in the photo.
At the time Pontiacs in Canada were Chevs under the skin, not like
those in the U.S., which were different. That's why this rare bird
with a Chevy 409 in it.

Sorry for posting late, I just saw the post. The Acadian wagon is from Brantford On. Last I heard ;the motor is gone and car has been sold.

Stumbled across this pic of a cool 68 in the background, it has the inner headlights out , probably ran tubes to the air cleaner like the Ford Thunderbolts did. This pic was from the local drag strip in Dawson Creek BC in the 70's

Yeah, these days it's pretty easy to make six or seven hundred horsepower. 

A ten second drag car was pretty radical back then but these days you could put together a fairly stock looking full sized wagon that could run that quick. You could have a lot of fun with a car like that if you could go back in time with it.

Thanks Dave, I posted that over on the 2doorpost site also, along with a color shot of that L79 Nova.

Nice video, exactly why stock and super stock have always been my favorite classes.biggrin  (I spend a litle bit of time on Youtube keeping up with Stock, S/S on the NHRA circuit.)
