I have emailed the person in Arizona as per the site given by 427 Carl as to whether the 14"x6" wheels will fit their application and will advise as to their answer when received. Thanks, Doug.

Hey Doug, would you be able to take a pic of your rear sway bar from your car??? Would like to compare it to mine. Thanks Andrew.

would just normal over the counter shoes be fine with the 59w/283cubes and 11 inch shoes? I just want it to be safe, its not like its a powerhouse of an engine and its just a cruiser. Any suggestions on what brand?

Does anyone know of a place in the Ottawa area to purchase disc conversion kit (front drums to disc) for
a 1966 pontiac parisienne custom sport convertible?

I had sintered brake shoes on all four wheels of my 64 cs 409 (425hp). Brakes worked amazing. They were on it when I purchased it in 64.

I don't really want to hijack this thread but I was planning to keep my drums for the time being as i have gone though the whole system and  also converted the master cylinder to a 67 dual compartment so i wonder if you can still get the sintered drum linings?  If they work that well there may be no reason to change over.

Good point!  Good drums still within specs  aren't as  easy to find as they used to be.

I've got all the nice stuff to make the conversion, and for a time questioned bothering to do so. But a hard stop from 100mph a few days ago has me thinking otherwise. Could fitted metalic shoes, good drums and a good setup really perform well? For round town and general use, my drums actually work excellent.
