Beautiful car ... only thing better (and more period-correct [hey, I was there then!] for a day-two car) would be baby moons on black painted wheels (I had them on oh so many cars, 55 Chevy, 55 Ford, 55 Mercury, 59 Ford, 60 Ford, 66 Chevelle SS396, 69 Olds Vistacruiser ...)

Nice car - the benefits of long term ownership and care are obvious. Love the dog dish hubcap look.

I might need to start a poll! i'm probably going to put it in our world of wheels car show, to celebrate 20 years since it was first in there, but should i put the street stars or the dog dishes?? and should i paint the hood to match the car before the show?? ...poll to follow!hahaha!

I'm in agreement with Hillar, looks fine the way you have it now. It will look great no matter what you do!

I asked before, and did not get a response   Have you seen the wheels "yellow"  with the hub caps?  I was asking since my car is a paler yellow and a lot of cars run matching color wheels...  dont hate me...

Personally i think it'd be too much yellow, and they weren't colour matched on the beaumont... they were on chevelles... i did a photoshop i think of yellow wheels one time, i'm not great at photoshop, but if you want to send me a pic of your car i'll colour match the wheels for you... i think they'll look better on a pale yellow car than mine too.

I also have the stripe kit at home, been sitting in a drawer for years... not sure whether to put those on! and wheel well trim...

Hmm, lots of choices indeed. You know, i really like the pic of the car in front of that purple curtain. The way the car looks in that pic, but with the dog dishes...or cragar or american racing wheels with the rear end raised, nice. Guess i'm saying no to decals. We need to have a pic of the car and all of us photo shop how we'd do the car if we had it in our driveway.smile

Very nice as is on the photo! Be carefull of too much chrome. The exterior is great! I hav'nt read all the comments, but try to stick to the present setup! It is a winner!

Excellent job. Looks great! If the poll is still going I like it as in the picture. To me the stripes really set it off.

What about some redline tires?

I thought about putting a redline on the wheels (i did that on the photoshop picture above) cheaper than redline tires! and i can keep my ET Streets on the steel wheels.... a bit nascar-ish with the redline on the wheel... it does set off the wheel a bit... i wonder if it'll look cheesy with a yellow line??

I might put up a poll, then do the car that way for the summer! let the CPers decide!hahaha! I have both sets of rims.

The red stripe on the rims looks good. I don't think yellow would look right though.
