Someone told me the silver 65 in Grand Bend had a ton of cash spent on it for resto. Supposed to be nice.

sure looks good-can't make the blue one look that good for the asking price and even the blue one sounds fair-I was just looking at one of these in a Custom Sport down here

Hey Guys

I am thinking about going to look at the 65 but I will be honest and I know nothing about Pontiacs as they are new to me. Always been into Mopars......lol Just sold my muscle car and now looking for a nice family cruiser and really like the looks of the 65. Is there anything I should be looking for, trouble spots, questions i should be asking etc etc.?? How are these 65 convertibles for holding their value over time etc etc.??

Thanks for your help

value has been fairly steady over the years, not a huge market but its also tough to get hurt too bad investing $15,000-they are like a 64 impala with the same rot spots: body mounts, front floors, trunk pan. The convertible tops always leaked when new so often the floors have been heavily patched. The white metal chrome items pit and are expensive to have replated. Other than that same as looking at anything else - good luck seems like good value-don't forget its a buyer's market in this economy
