Sunfire GTO ?

I was reading a post on Performance Years forum about Can Ams and GTO cars sold after the GTO was retired in 1974.

There is post about a Sunfire GTO being offered in Canada only.

I am not saying it never was but I sure missed it if it was. 

Can anyone confirm this car and any details ?

 I second that.  And as i recall i've seen some with GTX stickers, just ahead of the rear wheels right at the bottom.

no They couldn't have stooped much lower, could they?

All the guys at work know I'm a big Pontiac fan and they had a great time mocking me for liking GTO's when that guy was parking his "GTO" at the dealership!

A lot of aftermarket companies were selling decal kits like this. I can't imagine that being a GM offering. Likely dealer installed.
