Title is an "Animal House" reference. wink

This little baby arrived this week. The suction cups are super strong, and the various knuckles, extensions, tether and extra cup allow for door-side mount, dash mount....even roof or hood mount.

I've got spring fever and some interesting videos are guaranteed to follow. rofl.gif

I'm going to conduct some experimental shooting sessions, using one and two cars, filming from the door alongside; gradually overtaking or passing in the opposite direction; and from the hood or trunk following or leading from a short distance.

Maybe we can make some of those TV commercials that we wish we had for 1960's Canadian Pontiacs. We could add music and do a voice-over using some of the old brochures as a script. I happen to know several very experienced professional radio announcers.

Could be great fun.  biggrin

At anything above 150 mph, I'll move to the dashcam.

Excellent!   can't wait   I looked at a 427-425 video on You-tube, but the owner didn't know how to drive!?   My 66 had 3.55's and would sit and spin, and drift to the right, and then hook up, and go, to 60, then 2nd gear to 85, then 3rd to 115, fourth was 152 on speedo on the Bayfield road  4 mpg at 110mph to Seaforth and back..Motor was clearanced, and used a guart of oil every tank full... What a ride!  in traffic, you nosed out and , if you saw a car down the road, you pulled out and went anyway!!!  Took my mechanic friend out for a drive!  3 years after car was gone, he admitted I scared the crap out of himeyepopping.gif  lol   I love side pipe Corvettes!!!eyepopping.gif

Oh yeah!

My other 67 roadster was a red L-88 clone - no heater, no radio, just that big aluminum-head mechanical-lifter beast under the hood. It had a close ratio 4-speed but with 4.11 gears - you'd be into 3rd gear so fast and doing 90 mph it was amazing. It had those factory sidepipes too, was so loud it would set off car alarms going through a parking lot at idle. Whenever I saw a cop in the city I would turn it off and coast to a stop somewhere convenient until the law passed by. But those quick blasts to 90 on the freeway were a delightful cacophany of solid lifters, 850 cfm sucking, and thundering exhaust.

Here's the plates I had on that car:
