Very nice condition and good looking!  Pity the advertiser does not know the difference between a Pontiac and a Chevrolet.  Also South Africa never assembled a V8 Beaumont or Chevelle so this is a transplanted car.  The question to be asked is whether it is a Code 3 (Built from Scrap) car.  The price is very low!  Compare with the R85,000 1966 Pontiac!  Question; "Why did it make its way from Pietermaritzburg (East Coast) to Capetown (West Coast)?

Found Picture of a 67 Chev Beaumontashamed Looks like  different body style

Found it!!! a 69 Beaumont, the last of the CKD Beaumonts assembled in South Africa!

Would these have been made as RHD in Oshawa or upon delivery at the destination?

Hullo there!
They were assembled as RHD from CKD received.  After that the yard full of CKD crates at GMSA slowly became empty!

Thats a 68 body style, Tail lights and grill are all 68 for the orange one and the blue one. 69 had different tail lights and  grill. And 69 hard top has no butterfly window.
Did they use the 68 body style for several years in South Africa ? They did in Chili.

CKD means (Complete Knock Down)  Sipped from Oshawa to General Motors South Africa in a Box by ship!

You may be right as the last were assembled in 69 and GMSA switched in 1970 to the Australian Holdens that became Chevrolet El Camino, Kommando, Constancia, de Ville and Caprice Classic!  I am not too clued up regarding that period, but can assure you that no v8's were fitted to Beaumont and Chevelles.
