Over the past year there were a couple of 56 Pontiac Laurentian 4 dr. hardtops listed in the classified section of OldAutos. There are still a few out there , good luck in your search and I'll keep an eye out for you in Eastern Canada.
I had a beauty in High School in the 60s and have never gotten over that car. Even though I now have a nice 57 Belair sport coupe (Canadian). I have never seen another one on the West Coast since.
Over the last few years I have seen two or three two-door hardtops but the only four door hardtop was in England and that was just too much to deal with.
I do have the stats for Canadian GM production. I will dig it up and post it to this forum. The production for 1956 was very low as there was a strike in Canada for most of the year. The dealers here in Canada sold US models. Several years ago I had a chance to buy a 1956 GM Canada sales catalogue that featured only US models! I kick myself for not buying it at the time.
