Northern Alberta Junkyard stuff

Last batch of ten i think. The last cowl tag should go with the red 67 with the missing drivers door. Otherwise it's car/cowl tag.

Notice the cowl tag on picture #6?

Build date of July 27th. I think that is the latest build I've ever seen on a Canadian car.

Sorry, I am referring to the group of 10 pics 4 posts up!

Here is the lone American Pontiac I saw.  It had air so I'm thinking I might try to get what I can out of it  for mine.  As far as i know all the cars and parts are for sale but based on my expereince they ain't giving the stuff away!

It's  Aldon Auto parts if you want to google it.  if you guys key into some interesting stuff you are curious about I will try to make another trip with specifc things on a list to photo, like the late production car.  Anyway I hope you enjoyed the junkyard romp.

the vin on that late car would give us a idea of production numbers for that year?

Earliest 65 I see on this post is 9-13 #705317 and taking that late car on 7-27 #797743, that's 92,426 units right there.

I was through this yard a few times when I lived in Edmonton. Pricing was all over the place, but there was never a problem with wanting to go wander the yard for a few hours. ( I did get a radio delete plate for my 68 Beaumont there!)

On another note, I think this is very unfair, Registry-wise! The big cars are going to pass us Beaumont guys ! C'mon Ken, there were a few Beaumonts there as well!

Howdy, yeah they seem pretty open to wandering around the old stuff at least.  I have seen them refuse to let people into the back though so I don't know if I just look harmless or too weak to shoplift.

As for Beaumonts, the next time I'm in there I wil try to cast me lens further afield.

I don't see how they could figure it could do any harm.  The may even get a surge of old Poncho inquires after this so I should ask for a commission...
