Isn't the 2 + 2 supposed to be for your wife Steve?  I would think that driveability would be the number one consideration; I don't see too many tunnel rams as daily drivers!biggrin

Not a bad idea, go with a glass hood! DO NOT cut the steel hood mind you! I think it'd look pretty tough.

Well I guess I am going to be the Minority Report here, but I think nothing says Big Balls like a 2x4 tunnel ram sticking though the hood (unless it is a Big and Ugly FI unit attached to a monster blower). If I live long enough I will certainly do that to one of my next project cars, the 56 is locked into the 496 w/ single under-the-hood 4bbl (for lots of reasons I will not go into here and now), and as someone wiser than me said (right here on Canadian Poncho, if only I could remember who it was [stupid short-memory me] I would give due credit) (I might be misquoting slightly but I am not far off) "It's your hood, if you want to cut a hole in it, go right ahead!"

Well some car rag had an article which seemed like it was based on fact, about setting up a 2x4 tunnel ram, and they actually made it streetable, with not too much effort ... I will try to find that article and post it here ... but I have grandkids coming from Maryland tomorrow so I will be preoccupied for a while ... but I'll do it ... eventually ...

If you can find it Dave, I'd love to read it. I've  been thinking about 2x4's on my zedder for a while now, it would be great to see how to set it up for good driveability. My 3x2's ran like s&*t, could never get it set up right.evileye

I used to have one on my 64 Malibu years ago. It was an Offy with two 500 AFB's. I had a standard so was more forgiving than an auto. I used to drive to work with it,had no problem until fall time when temp's were lower, then the carbs would frost up. I had two hoods, one with a hole and one stock, so when I got tired of it just put it back to stock. Probably not the most practical thing to run but cool as hell.

I wouldn't drive on the street like that for the same reason that I wouldn't walk down the sidewalk without pants and underwear.

Man, this is a sad story, but I noted how my local library had seasons 1-5, and so I ordered up 1-3, and f**k (as Ricky would say) if season 1 discs 1 and 2 are 'not available' 'see the librarian' so I did and she said 'well maybe they were damaged or broken, but you can't get them' so I said 'well suck my ...' OK, I didn't say anything like that, let's face it, I still want to be accepted at the library, and I don't think there is a loophole like Ricky used in the big courthouse scene where he says something like "if the Frenchies can do it then so can I, if I can't smoke and swear then I am f****d"

Crap, what the heck was I talking about???!!! I am easily distracted ...

but I have to tell you, when Trevor (or Cory, they are interchangeable I think, and volumes could be written about them, and how they are always shat upon by R&J, yet continue to worship R&J ...) after oh so perfect instructions from Ricky on how to drive the car "drive doesn't work so use 3, and you have to gun it, and reverse  ..." all in about 1/2 second, and Trevor (or Cory) says "I know how to drive a car" and then with Julian and the constable chick looking on it roars backwards into Mr. Lahey's trailer .... f*** me to tears, I have not laughed so hard in twenty years!!! If not for prostrate problems I would for sure have pissed my pants!

So I have forgotten my point, but somehow I have to get my hands on the first 2 discs of seasons 1 & 2 ... but (since 427carl is watching) I did finish my brakes (except for bleeding) this week, so I have not totally abandoned our cars for TPB ...

I agree with Todd on this one Steve. A tunnel on a big convertible, no.
Now a tubbed out Acadian, 454, caged, pro-street  car, Oh Yeah!
