RE: I know it's a F*rd BUT it's a 406 4 speed POST car!

I am trying to buy the car. I need to raise some cash quick! I am putting a bunch of stuff for sale in the classifieds!

Martin Turbo Setup for SBC (CARB EO until 85') - This is the Camaro kit, and was rebuilt by J&R turbos and Turbonetics. RayJay 301EE turbo. It was rebuilt and only basically dyno time and me driving up and down the block. - $1000 obo

ST10 Four speed setup - Nodular Iron cased with Z gearset, bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate - $800

55' Chevy - $1500 and comes with the caprice frame for a frame swap, with a good, 80K drivetrain, fresh brakes, tires, etc.

If I lived in your area I wouldn't hesitate for that money. What a great basis for a nostalgia drag car.

There's nothing wrong with these early Fords. 55-64 Fords - especially 61-64 - are very nice cars. I had a 58 wagon, 6 stick, that was great to drive. Love the 62-64 post cars in particular. Saw a stick shift 64 Galaxie 500 2 door post in Moncton, NB last week.

I need to sell the 55' to make room to get this car.

I have the 55' on the new frame now. Maybe I can get it sold. Its channeled about 4 inches in the front and 2 in the rear right now on temporary cross members. I will roll it out this weekend, check clearance everywhere, and make sure the stance is good, then put in the final cross members. I might even get the floor structure done.

This whole car's value largely rides on one thing that hasn't been clarified yet...what's the friggin' Engine Digit of the Vin?.

Someone buy my 55' darn it! Money isn't much of an issue, but I have no space for that car!

Thanks. I am pretty excied about the car... starts and runs like a bear....with a 9" posi with 4.11s..... should be a pretty fun car.

As a side note, it was built in Oakville as per the tag on the drivers side

Congrats on pulling the trigger!.

Do you know if any of the lightweight G-Code cars were built in Canada and is there any signs that this could be one...no sound deadener etc..
Are you considering building yours w/ any of the lightweight glass and aluminum parts?.
Can you get a Marti report on this car?.
Looking forward to updates!.

It's not often a Ford is this cool!

congrats. cool, even for a ford.
sounds like it was a 'single purpose' purchase when it was new.
