Super clean and all original?  Might be a small possibility of finding something like that out west but I'd suggest he starts perusing the old car trader for the south western US states, that is the only place is likely to find something original.

What about that '69 427 green convertible we saw down off Queen Street?

While it is all there, that car needs a full restoration to make in "nice".  I certainly would not put it in the "clean and all original" category.

Do you remember what he was asking for it Ray?

Crikey, I'd like to meet the appraiser who said it was worth $28K the way it sits.  He could do all my cars and I'd suddenly be a millionaire!

Seriously though, he is not doing his own credibility much good by offering to sell a car at less than 1/2 of it's appraised value.  As I said, it appears to be all there but needs a FULL restoration.

What about a Canadian Pontiac? They're different, and sit on Impala chassis..
Just a thought..

I was going to say he was looking for $12,000, seem to remeber him saying that even though he has it at $13,000.  Probably could get this one for under $10,000, he had virtually no where to keep it and he had about six cars there. The engine was nice as I recall.

I thought this was the car that had the 454 the guy wanted to keep; or was that a different one?

There was a story on the engine but I can't remember 100%, maybe it had been rebuilt for something like $9,400 and I think you are right John he was trying to sell the car without the engine in the spring. Do you remember Hillar ?

Thanks for the input!......that 69 427 Conv would have been one awesome car NEW! Toooo many rust and rust repair issues now! Pontiac might work from 1961-1962! Really wants Original body car and surely there must be some out there. Cars that may have come up from the southern U.S. few years ago or maybe a winter stored BIG CHEVY from Ontario ((that would be neat.)) Very nice wagon by the way.
Any leads most appreciated!!!!!!!
I realize i said BIG CHEVY but anyone seen that '71 Gold Malibu Conv with black interior for sale in T.O. on Kijjii. Young guy has it and said
original rust free body! Suppose to be Texas car with air cond. Looks real clean, lots new but $28,000 seems bit high but maybe not if MINT BODY #'s match. Please let me know if anyone has checked it out!
Thks

I vaguely remember something like that, but I think in the end he said he would sell the car with the engine in it, whatever that may happen to be.  Personally, I would want to check to be sure it is numbers matching before I rolled out any bills for that car.  It's obviously had some work done to it over the years.  It's also another situation where the owner could help his own cause immeasureably if he had the GM documentation for the car.  I just don't know/can't understand why anyone with a reasonably unique car can't spend the bucks to prove what it actually is.

Kingswood is FOR SALE-listed for a customer-spoke with him today-I'm sure $9000 will do it, fly in drive home, the A/C stopped working in the spring-nice piece/nice price
