That thread of that 68 post inspired me to start wrenching on my car again. So I rolled the frame out from under the body today and got at it .
Waiting for my rear springs to show up. My be tomorrow.
Bolted in those engine frame mounts I got from 69Belair, Thanks Dave. Forgot how hard it was to get at those bolts when the A arms and springs in the way. Bolted on the front sway bar with new energy suspension end links and bushings. Bolted in the front shocks.
looking good... hows the body? what are you plans for the car? engine/paint etc...
ak
Thanks. I am unsure what to do about the engine. I got a 350 4 bolt block was thinking of stroking to 383. But when I see big blocks it gets me thinking. Original colour is Limelight green, not sure about that colour yet. Needs quarters and trunk repair, floor and rockers are good.
Got some paint on the diff housing, Richmond 4.10 gears and spool
New rear springs and shocks, boxed in lower control arms, Ta diff cover, energy suspension bushings.
My home made offset upper control arms with energy suspension bushings makes this 76 Buick Century diff fit. This is the 8.5 with factory C clip eliminators end like the ford 9 in.
Lookin good Ian. What kind of paint is the gray you used on the centerlink, steering box, swaybar ? I really like that colour against the black chassis.
Cool upper control arms too.
Looking at those pics makes me wish my car wasn't a unibody, it'd be much easier to work on the susp/chassis like your doing.

Thanks guys. Used Eastwoods spray gray. Good paint covers well and fast drying. $14.95 a can though but one can sprayed all those items and still have some left. I get all my Eastwood supplies from Low Bux. He sells out of his House (204-668-4260).
