That car belongs in Canada, even after he explains the enitire car he still gets the Chevrolet engine question. Very nice indeed.

What's with the grille emblem? I wonder how many of those were built?

Not sure he is fully aware of the 2+2 production facts for Canada but a nice car nonetheless.

Hey Guys what are your thoughts?  Do you feel it should be back here in Canada?  Not correct block! has had by his description around $50,000 USD in resto work seems like a lot of $$$$$$.  How bad would the car be to have that kind of money spent?  I do want one for the herd, but I get a little wary of money spent!  What are your feelings on its worth?

Hard to put a value on it as there are so few of them. 25-30K IF all the sheetmetal is original and the floors are perfect. I'd want to see it in person before I pulled the trigger. I doubt it will meet his reserve.

No matter how rare it is, it's tough to sell Canadian Pontiacs for big $$ in the US market. They just don't know much about these cars in the US, (although I see a surprising number of Canadian cars for sale in the US). Possible exceptions may be the SD big block Beaumonts, but the B-bodies likely will not draw big dollars. That's how I see  it.

Nice car but 50000.00 US. It's a driver with a non matching block. 20000.00 to 25 Canadian in this market. Rare cars with correct non-matching motors are not worth the bucks eg.. L-79 L-34 etc... Who would want one anyways because you would be scared to drive it.

I would be surprised to see it bid over 15,000    no one wants to spend $$ on a big block Pontiacno   now, if it was a 427 CHEVY biggrin

You mean 639?

Todd, whatever happened to that blue 427 convertible you found near Barrie?  Has anything happened with that car?  Is that the only other one we know about?

I'm guessing this guy's reserve is pretty substantial, although I question the amount of money they may have put in it.  I agree though that to have a chance at bringing the "big bucks" it has to restored completely as factory original and stupid things like the incorrect side mirrors and the pin stripping will hurt it.  I look forward to seeing it on B-J; I don't think it will sell on evil pay.

It probably won't make the reserve, whatever that is. It's a nice car, but the description is a bit mixed up. How can it be original and restored at the same time? For all the money spent it does not look correct to me. Very nice car, but not "original" as described. I say $12-15 k US is what it will bring. The SS427 Chev convert in Toronto hasn't sold at $12,000 CDN.

I've corresponded with the seller. He figures it will go to BJ. He says the body and floors are original however the trunk has been repaired...

The blue 427 Parisienne convertible is apparently no longer for sale. Barry says he felt the owner thought he could get big bucks for it and when he gave him a dose of reality he decided to hold onto it. Sad as it will likely deteriorate further. I asked Barry to pass along my name and number to the owner if he changes his mind.

What's the story on the 68?

Also last week someone said they spotted a 69 2+2 427, can't recall who. If we had the VIN we would run it through Vintage.

That's a shame. Hopefully it will at least be stored inside.

Those "gonna fix it up someday" cars can sure eat a guy up if you let it.

Just trying to help you 2+2 guys out. It's a gem and cheap. Hopefully you will do the same for the 64-65 Beaumonts.
