As promised I made a stop in Wyevale Ontario yesterday after spying this old timer last weekend. Well boys it was worth the stop. A 1939 Canadian Pontiac 239 OHV - 6, three speed manual of course. Very solid car, well taken care of, not show but very respectable indeed.
Car is appraised for insurance at $12k but he will entertain offers. Mal Mathers, 705-322-5239, that's an Elmvale Ontario number.
The Chief is the hood latch, pull up to release hood.
GM Canada - Oshawa Walkerville Regina
239 OHV 6 - same basic engine used up to end of 1954

Todd, I asked him for a test drive, man I've never driven anything that old, but he said the shift cable needed adjusting which he hadn't got around to so it only had first gear.
Look at the interior, it was very nice, really nice, I liked it too and to think it was a Pontiac. I had no idea when I stopped. The coolest things for me were the Indian head hood latch and to actually see that data tag with Walkerville and Regina on it along side Oshawa. I don't know if that large amber light out front was a standard item but it was really nice too.
To me this car was a gem, I have no idea on value of this vintage but I fell in love with it too.
