Dome light position

well.. since I've been away for 8 months and the guy that did my headliner did the work while I was away.. I dont have any reference for where the dome light goes.
from front to back.. is it just past the 3rd rib in the headliner?
anyone have photos?

thanks in advance..

My car is a Pontiac but the placement was determined by the rib being drilled and fitted for the bracket. Placement holes existed for both standard dome light and the map light option which are different locations due to the size of each.

I'll take a photo for better description too.. there is a small incision made for the wires to come through and there should be a spot with the holes for the 2 screws to mount but I cant get my big "meat hooks" into the small incision to see.. LOL
Just looking for photo's is tough since no one really ever takes shots of the roof interior.

This is mine, I replaced the little dome with this from a Luxury leMans. Direct fit in predrilled holes.

Hey Ray.. thank you for that. I'm going to try and stuff my fingers in the headliner tonight and see where it's supposed to be.

Good to see that light on Kelly. That probably means you can work in the garage even later now that you can see what you're doing. Hopefully this will be the beginning of even more progress pictures. Will you be at home for a while or is it just a short break? Good luck.
