windshield washer container

Anybody know where I can buy an original windshield washer container for my 61 Pontiac. The one that is there is now is pretty well done. Now that the firewall is painted it looks like crap. The top of this container comes completely off to fill it. It attaches to the firewall bracket which is made like a V, and slides into it. thanks Brent

Do you have a pic of one?

I may have what you need. Do you know if it's white plastic or black?

This is the black one I have. I understand the black ones are hard to find in good shape. White ones are reproduction I think.

That is quite possible. I pulled this one out in a US wrecking yard. For the most part all the Pontiacs I have owned have been 64 or newer and I seldom if ever have had one that was black. I bought this one because I saw it was in nice shape, not all brittle like most of them, and also because it was black which I wasn't used to seeing.

Mine is white and has no markings such as 1 pint 2 pint etc on the bottle. I noticed on Carls picture it has a cap for refilling it, on mine I can remove the whole cover which is black. Guess I might have to change to a later one and just change the bracket, no big deal but it would be nice to have the original. I got to spring to find one, thanks guys brent

Carl, check at work.  GM still sells the white ones brand new.  i bought about 6 of them 3 years ago for about 9.50 each.    They were cheaper than any repro cataloge and genuine GM!

As for the black ones, i have never seen them on a canadian car ever in the 1960s
Perhaps they were used in the early 70s tho?
