I was referred to this site by some guys on PY forums.
I am 20 and looking for a 65,68 or 70-72 lemans/tempest in driving good shape (little to no rust) for 8-12k. It will a summer daily driver and become a street/strip car. If the car has a 12 bolt, gears, any heavy duty parts or even a 455 then all the better!

Welcome Andrew, can't help you with your search. I once had a 1972 Lemans but I entered it in the demolition derby at the local fair. After that, I gave it to the wrecking yard.
Welcome AndrewT. These guys always find find the vehicles and parts you want. Be patient and select the right body for your needs. Post your needs on the Cars wanted thread.
It's important to be choosy and select the right thing because you will be investing lots of money. Have a good plan of what you want in your car before you begin your search. Make a list and stick to it. I have built a number of steet/strip cars and found it's much cheaper and better to start with the lightest car with the most horsepower. You won't break much with a strong base ie. Big Block, performance auto trans.good suspension and a strong rear end. Actually I have seen many existing drag cars for sale lately for reasonable prices. You might look into this. You'll save lots of money. Starting from scratch is very expensive.
