Went to the auto swap meet at Bingemans on Sunday, turned out to be a Hotwheels or model car meet !!!! What a dissapointment !!!! The only person I saw that was selling anything car related was GUS from our Poncho site . Sure won't make the trip next year !!!!

Kevin
I'm with you Kevin. What a total waste of time. As you said, Gus was one of only 3 or 4 guys actually selling used auto parts!!! The rest were all speed type shops or people hawking toys, shirts, accessories, etc. Nothing wrong with that, except when they make up the entire show of what is supposed to be an automotive PARTS swap meet! It was a stupid location too, inside a ballroom with a fancy floor so you just know they wouldn't let anyone bring in anything dirty or greasy. And crowded as well, the aisles were way too close together. Good thing someone didn't yell: "Fire!"

Jonathan, the first thing to do is get yourself a subscription to Old Autos. It is newspaper like periodical that comes out twice a month and lists all the swap meets, classified ads for cars and parts, cruises, and oh yeah, a whole bunch of articles on old cars as well. It is the only publication of its kind for us Canucks and yeah, we are all a bunch of old fuddy duddies, we still like paper to read. Not everything is on-line, yet.
The last swap meet of any consequence for this season is taking place at the International Centre by the Toronto airport. It is always held the first Sunday in December so we can all do some Christmas shopping for ourselves.
