Hey Guys, I am going to convert my 3 spd automatic car to either a Muncie M22 or If I am real good before X- Mas I might splurge on the 5 Spd Tremec 600. My question is ; is the clutch and pedal assembly the Same as a 69 Chevelle or 69 GTO or Lemans??? Don't want to buy the wrong unit. Also there was a transmission shop just outside Portland Oregon that sold Brand New Muncies with the Heavy Duty Case and Tailshaft and Italian Gears for $1500 to $1750 US for a M20/M21/M22 with NO CORE CHARGE, I gave him a call and he said his Muncie Guy retired but gave me a guys name in Chicago Ill that builds them. His name is Bob and He runs a shop called 4 Gear Transmission, Phone # 630-879-8777 Thanks Guys

I have just purchased a 1969 Beaumont H/T for restoration. My first, I hope to have it completed in the next 2 or 3 years.
I have no experience with the new Muncies but the pedals will certainly be the same from a 69 Chevelle. It seems to me that the GTO pedals fit but that there is a difference in the clutch safety switch or something minor like that.

I am not familiar with the 69 but I did convert my 67 beaumont to a 4 speed and the chevelle pedals I bought did not fit. To make things worse the gto / lemans were not correct either. I was able to look at my dads original 4 speed car so I had an idea of what to look for. I bought a pedal set out of a late 60's buick that are the correct pedals. The other hard piece to find was the cluth pedal rod. It is not gto or chevelle. It is the same as the Buick....The chevelle guys have it easy in some regards.
