1969 Udated Progress

Hey Guys, its been Raining here on the Canadian Westcoast for a week now so it was time to move indoors. I got my parts car totally stripped down to the shell and boxed the parts. I found that lots of the parts car parts were in better shape than mine. My cousin bought a homemade sandblasting cabinet at an auction and sold it to me for believe this $65 it even had a gun and airhose included. I just had to buy a set of Gauntlets and hook it up to a shopvak and it works GREAT. I bought 3 bags of really fine sand and it takes everything down to bare metal with no heat or warping.  A buddy of mine took his 400 H/P 350 out of his 56 Chev to replace it with a bigblock so he made me a really good deal on the motor, I am going to pick it up at the end of the month. Now the Big question is Trans ???? I have always like the standards and I told the wife I  have been a good boy all year so I think I am going to ask Santa for a 5 Spd TREMEC, I checked with Canadian Customs and they said any any parts  MADE in the US or Mexico are Duty free, you just pay Gst and Pst. I have my fingers crossed that the Canadian Dollar will stay high. Heres a few pictures of where I am so far.  Have a Good X-Mas and New Years All        MYLO
