As Marxjunk was having a tough time getting a hold of pontiac1956, I emailed what I thought would be pontiac1956's phone number as per his profile info cross referenced with directory assistance. As it's been well over a month since pontiac1956 had offered to sell the dog dish caps, and nine days since I sent the phone number I thought I'd give the number a call to see if they were indeed for sale.
It turns out it was the correct phone number and I asked if they were still for sale. He indicated that he was having a tough time finding them. We chatted for a while, at which point something "clicked". The two of us put 2 and 2 together and it turns out that I had responded to a Kijiji ad last Sept in which I purchased the dog dishes from his son who brought them into Edmonton from RoundHill.
Mystery solved...but no silver lining of tin dog dishes...
