Wow! The automotive world sure is a changin'. When the Chevy Volt is released there will be apps available for iPhone and Blackberry owners which will allow you to monitor your Volt's charging functions etc from your mobile device. You will be able to modify the charging time, keep track of gallons of fuel saves, etc etc. An Onstar subscription will be required. I would assume similar technology will be available on other GM cars in the future.
