Beaumont Parts for sale

68sd wrote:

looks like im going to make a list

Fred, if I were you, I'd start out nice and slow, list 5 -10 parts at a time, ( per week?)
until they sell, or interest fades, and move on to the next bunch.

Then, do you go 1st come 1st served, or do you allow prospective buyers to submit bids above the asking price?

Taking orders sounds like it would be a real PITA, but if you are I need an 68-69 SD/ SS engine hood, and the piece of trim for a 68 rear tailight panelbiggrin

OH YEAH, also, for everyone interested in this, Fred is taking on a HUGE task here,
we look to benefit the most, so please, no bickering and everyone play fair.

Thx for taking on this task! (Some day I'll need a 66 BB hood. But it probably makes sense to locate it locally in the Alberta area...)

Funny 65sssd all these 64/65 Beaumonts and parts, but when I was looking for parts to finish our 65 Beaumont SD he said he would never sell anything to me because the car is in the US. What difference does it make weather a Canadian car is in the US or an American car goes to Canada. If your a true Classic Car Enthusiast you usually try to help other car guys and not say things like glade to see the 68 SD sold at Barrett Jackson coming back to Canada. I had the ACADIAN tail panel letters made for the 65 Beaumont owners and he said my price was to high, just try to find these letters or have them made and see what the cost is. I made no profit on the sets I sold. I was just trying help other 65 Beaumont owners complete their cars.

It seems like everybody wants a piece of the pie. Do you think that there should be a list first before anybody buys. Or is this first come first serve. And the biggest dollar win.

Dales Muscle car parts in Bracebridge Ontarion has them brand new Repo-they are very very nice 1-877-276-6831. I have a set if you are in Winnipeg-you can come look at them before you buy a set and see how nice they are

Fred, I know everyone here appreciates you taking on this task. You are going to be a very busy guy with all of this. One question I have is how are you going to know how to price these parts. Some of this stuff is rarely sold so knowing what price to put on it will be tough. Maybe you should list it in an auction like format. Put 10 or 15 items a week on here and take bids for a week or 2 weeks. One reason I am suggesting this type of format it to give everyone a chance. Otherwise, the first person to see the part listed will get it and the guys that aren't online when you list the parts will lose out. It would also be nice to see the guys that need these parts for their car get them and not guys that only intend to hoard or resell the parts.

With all that said, now I'm going on a rant. Why is it that some of you guys have so many problems with us guys in the US that own Beaumonts or other Canadian built cars. I have had my car for about 7 years and absolutely love this car. I know of several guys here that own Beaumonts and we respect and treat the cars just as good or better than any of you guys would. If it were not for the few guys here that own these cars no one in the US would know anything about the Canadian cars. We do a lot to spread the info and history of these cars. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG.

James, Carl, my thoughts as well..

no body from the south side of the border is asking me to return my 67 Firebird , 67 GTO , of my 70 Lemans convertible, no one really seems to care?

I guess there not rare enough LOL!!!

maybe we should get back those 22 Beaumont SD that were exported .... now where did they go ??

spread the word...

James, I think it's easy to get caught up in what a few individuals say. "We" are not spreading the word that Canadian cars should only be in Canada. There are a few individuals that have made comments like that.
I don't believe it is a prevalent attitude. I would say that I am pleased that there are cars and interest in other countries around the world. I would guess that many of us believe that.
I am personally pleased that you are a part of this community and thank you and all of the others who live outside of Canada for participating.
Just my humble opinion

Rick

I really think the easiest way for Willie to do this is to hire an auction firm to go to his property and hold an auction. They would have the experience in dealing with such a large lot. It would be worth paying the commission to them to avoid the hassle. Set it up for some day in May and if people want the parts bad enough they'll show up. That's my .02

There's always ebay! An auction format would be nice, you will get the best price and people will have a chance at their parts...

Good luck! There's a lot of parts there!
