... the intake & exhaust manifolds came off easily - I was expecting rusted-tight bolts, a mighty struggle, some breakage - but no, just turn the wrench and off they came
And I didn't even drop the manifolds on my foot, or a fender
And the head pipe bolts came off easily too
Looks like H2O on the rockers, though - not unexpected, there is clearly something wrong that only pulling the head will reveal ...

Nah, I am trying to see if I can get the old 261 to run well enough to actually drive the car some places for a while, as I finish building the 496, plus I'd like to install the new tranny and rebuild the rear end before dropping in the big motor ...
