This is a very unusual 2 door model. A friend had one in 77 and I remember at the time thinking how is he going to sell this because we all know the only buyer's are prople that drive town cars.

It is a good thing you don't live don't here in Florida. I see these 76 - 84 or so being driven around all the time. The vast majority of them are in very good condition not all beat to heck. How about a white with dark blue roof, I see it everyday in our area.

I have a line on a similar one in Mississauga. I am hoping to get it for between $1500 to $2000.

The 460 was a 4 bbl carb without much chance for mileage. My dad bought one of these (1977) while wintering it Arizona years ago. He soon traded it for an injected 302 a couple years newer (maybe 1983) and was very proud of his ability to top 27-28 mpg on the drives home to Michigan every year from Arizona.

I had a few of these. Great driver but the worst fuel mileage I ever got from a car. The same year Cadillac with 500 cubes was better.

Basically I have it, just have to go and get it out of storage. Are you really intersted it it? It might be a 79, triple blue. I have never seen it either but I trust the guy who had it.

Is it two door? Is it certified (probably not with that price)?? I would really like to drive a cheap classic this summer, since the Riv needs work and I am still trying to find insurance.

I don't know any of those answers until I see it. This guy bought it at a Golf Tournamanet silent auction years ago.

a friend's father had one back in the early 80's - I remember being at his place for a bon fire-they go out to get a case of beer-the Lincoln spits through the carb and catches on fire-by the time they open the hood the insulation is all burning-his brother takes off his jacket and begins to put it out while I call the fire department-jacket is ruined, engine fire with hood warped, fire get put out by the fire department-his Dad is mad at us-says"why didn't you let it burn ?" then the insurance paid to fix it !
