RE: New Gal Here :)

Wow, this is overwhelming with all the welcomes!!!! Happy to be here, wish I knew about this place when I still had the 58. Could have really used all the knowledge that is present here!!!!

To answer some of the questions: I try to do a lot of the work on my own such as sanding grinding primering and little bit of welding but I am definatly still learning and have some great help from my dad who says do this or that and my friend Myk. I really like sandblasting a lot!!!!!

The 58 had a 261 with a 2 speed powerglide all original to the car. I shaved all the emblems off of the car including the rear door handles. Had air ride set up in the back. Custom tuck and roll upholstery and bamboo door panels and floor mats. I will be sure to add some before and after pics as soon as I get a chance to sort through my photos.(my old computer crashed)

Yes that is rat fink on the shop door driving a street stock truck. My father races the #72 street stock chev pickup at Agassiz speedway and Sunvalley speedway here in BC.

I am just in the middle of my finals for University right now, and as soon as that is done I wll be sure to upload photos of both the 58 and the progress of the 60.

Welcome Newbie! From a rickety, bashed up, smokey, over used roundy-round type. And my stock car is pretty rough too.

Welcome Tiffany! I have a '61 GMC pickup truck as well as a '69 Parisienne convertible and '69 Grande Parisienne hardtop. I'm already driving the truck daily but the ragtop needs TLC which it will get this summer. You couldn't have found a better site on the net than this one. Anything you will ever need to know about anything Pontiac is right here. As you can already tell, everyone
is very welcoming and should you have any questions along the way, you'll never be without an answer.

Sorry I have been away. All finished school for the summer and just looking for a job to help support the habit. I have a question regarding where i should post the photos of the 60 GMC? Is it ok just to put it with the cars(dont wanna step on any toes). I have been working on it a lot latley. Cab and box are off and frame is all pressured washed and ready to go to the sandblasters and paint.

THE "MEMBERS RIDES" WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE. CARS, TRUCKS, BIKES... I DON'T THINK IT MATTERS!smile

Tiffany that is one beautiful looking 58, but why remove the rear door handles? Be proud of your four door. The days of four doors being looked down on and only being used as parts cars are over. Over the many years it use to make me sick seeing solid decent four doors being gutted to restore a rotten piece of junk two door. Thank goodness those days for the most part are over. Beautiful looking 58 but please put the rear door handles back on. George.

Welcome from the Pacific coast Tiffany. Your '58 is awesome, and I'm sure your truck is going to look just as nice.
