The seller sent a number of photos to myself on his car. Looks very very nice, unsure what a hearse is worth. But if you like 1963 poncho wagons, this would be good as it gets. I would dare to say none better. The pictures are in my inbox on yahoo, will try to firgure out how to post.
Cheers

If the car is as described ,... it would be "worth" $11,500.00.  However,..I'm guessing that even a serious buyer would not pay anywhere close to that price.  I like wagons myself.  And I know a lot of "wagon" guys.  But really ,... unless it's got a few very rare options ,. like a 300 HP 327 ,... he'd be lucky to find a buyer to give him even $7000.00.  Don't get me wrong ,.. I think wagons are cool!   But the guys who'll pay that kind of cash for a '63 wagon are very far and few in between.  And we all know that what a car is "worth" ,... and finding a buyer who'll pay what it's worth are two different things.   Especially now.   These wagons ,.... like long hair and Janis Joplin 8 tracks.,.. were all very happening at one time.   But a lot of these car owners are realizing that they'll eventually have to let go of these cars for considerably less,.. including the 8 tracks smile.gif

Cool looking car though.

How much higher than stock is that roofline?  When carnut70ls4 said it was a hearse, I expected the roofline to be higher.  I think it could pretty much pass as a station wagon, does it have a rear seat or is the rear compartment flat?    I think it's cool, but needs to lose the wheels.

It was used as a flower car  not a hearse . The roof line is no different than normal imo.

Nice. I agree about the wheels. Is that a factory tinting?

Back then the factory tinting would have been the dark blue-green tint. Few if any bought it north of the border. If any tint were specified back then it usually was just on the windsheild.

That car looks like a real honey. Wheels can change the look and attitude of a car so much. If it were mine I would probably have several different sets, from a set of skinny centipede sipe blackwalls with dog dish caps, perhaps a vintage set of chrome steel 5-slots or maybe chromed reverse wheels. You would have to be selective with modern wheels on that car because they would either look too contrived or it might end up looking like a donk (a really stupid look IMHO).
Hmmm, maybe some wide whites on red painted wheels... You see what I mean about wheels changing the whole vibe of a car.

It sure is nice to see that wagon preserved so well. I can remember back in 1971 a friend of my dad lived on a farm and had a decomissioned 1963 Laurentian wagon he was using to hold his garbage until garbage day. It was hauled off for scrap within 2 years furious.gif

make a great beach cruiser!!
id put some hubcaps on it a cruise, amazing how wheel/rims are
so personal and change the attitude of a car so much
