RE: 63 Parisienne Wagon. 32000 original miles.

I thought it was a hearse, but was wrong as I thought flower cars were cadillac's etc. that were made into truck style. Like the elcamino or ranchero style. Guess this funeral home went with the regular wagon. Like everyone posted here has said,a lot of money for what it is. Yes got to lose the wheels....

Nice. I agree about the wheels. Is that a factory tinting?

Back then the factory tinting would have been the dark blue-green tint. Few if any bought it north of the border. If any tint were specified back then it usually was just on the windsheild.

That car looks like a real honey. Wheels can change the look and attitude of a car so much. If it were mine I would probably have several different sets, from a set of skinny centipede sipe blackwalls with dog dish caps, perhaps a vintage set of chrome steel 5-slots or maybe chromed reverse wheels. You would have to be selective with modern wheels on that car because they would either look too contrived or it might end up looking like a donk (a really stupid look IMHO).
Hmmm, maybe some wide whites on red painted wheels... You see what I mean about wheels changing the whole vibe of a car.

This car looks really nice. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket tint unless it approximates the factory blue or green tone of the 60s, which you can't get anymore.

I agree that you don't see a lot of Canadian cars with the full tint, but there were more than you might expect. My 62 Parisienne 4 door sedan is an original Ontario car bought at Hamilton Motor Products and it has the green "Shadelite" tint on all windows, as did a 66 Chevy Bel Air 2 door post I had in the 80s. I scrapped a 64 Impala SS 2 dr ht in the 80s that also had the same glass all around.

I also remember a 64 Laurentian 4 door in my neighborhood in the early 70s - an Ontario car with full tinted glass. And there was very recently a red 63 Laurentian 4 door on Kijiji that has it.

...yeah, "flower cars" were nothing more than stock-bodied wagons. No roof modifications. This one's speedo cable would probably snap if you took it over 25 mph because it's virgin teritory. Very nice but needs to lose the greaseball tint and wheels. They're starting to "slam" wagons now and some look very cool. Believe it or not there's a very original red-and-cream '59 or '60 Chrysler wagon cruisin' around out here. Now that's a rare bird. I saw it at KMS Vintage Auto Parts in Coquitlam one Saturday and then at the World of Wheels car show in Abbotsford a week later. This Poncho should be slammed with 18" chrome or polished Torq-Thrusts, duallies with glass-packs and a few mods and a cleanup to the engine bay and then sent outon a mission  to "convert the heathens". This is for cruisin' man..!! I believe..!!
