While I've never really cared for the noses of the '60's, I really like the rear end.  Ray's got it right, V8 standard bubble-top.   As said before, the prairie cars have nowhere near the rust of the eastern cars, and this looks like it has lots of upside.

Clint, someone on here will know the story behind the '60 but I think it goes a bit like this. The 59 was the first year for the split grille and there was an internal management struggle about the split grille. The 60 was ordered to be a non split grille but it bombed so 1961 was split again and has been a Pontiac trademark ever since.

Even as a boy I always looked at the 60 and thought it was like one of those multiple choice questions, which one does not belong? I will admit though that the styling does appeal to me now.
