Carchaeology - heiroglyphics on the firewall - need interpretaion

Exploring deeper into the inner history of my 56, having removed the battery and battery support, and beginning to clean the firewall, I discovered the following marks (kind of hard to see so I have 2 views):

Firewall Mark 1a.JPG

Firewall Mark 2a.JPG

Looks like "H2" to me, but I am open to other views.

So ... what does it mean?

Thanks,
Dave

My Dad worked at GM dealerships as a "front end" man, later a painter in the early sixties and he could spot an original car from that dealership because the mechanic that would do the pre-delivery would put his initials or sign the firewall as a quality control thing. Probably not the case here but, if there are some hieroglyphics you can't decipher it could be some mechanic that has left his mark.

Damn it all to hell!!! I should have done that exact same thing!!! With all the PDI's I have done over the years, I would have my scribble on a "lot" of cars and trucks.....

It would have been a lot of fun to scribble stuff on there that had no meaning, just to make the purists scratch their heads over what it could possibly mean!!!

My 52 has 'glass tint' written in the same yellow marker, as well as 'AT', (automatic transmission). I suspect these were instructions for the line assemblers taken off the build sheets. Could it be for dual horns?

Welcome aboard....... If you wish, introduce yourself in the welcome aboard section and yes, the marking were assembly instructions and body mods per option!

 Here is another thread..........
