Hi everyone, this is Angelo's son Giulio. First off thx for posting this for us Ray. I want to clear up that the total mileage is NOT 6,700. My aunt is out of the country right now so I will post the true mileage on Monday.

Hi Giulio,
I was also interested in the car, but for personal reasons I can't do it at the moment.

Just a few suggestions that might help you sell the car:
- Post a little history on the car, including what work might have been done to it (i.e. rust repair, new parts installed, etc.)

- Post some really good photos which will help indicate the condition of the vehicle, including interior shots, underfloor frame and floor shots where possible, the trunk, door seams, quarter panels, etc. Anything which will show a person from further away who can't come over and see the car in person will be more motivated if they can tell that it's in good shape from the pics.

- Maybe post a video showing the car running so a potential buyer might be able to hear it running and see that it doesn't smoke, knock, etc.

It may be different for some, but those are a few things that I would be looking for in considering buying a car from out of province.

Yeah, and find out what the real mileage is on the car. wink

Dad had an Oshawa-built '74 Biscayne in that exact colour, powered by the exact same engine & trans. What you said about the green 4-doors getting parted, dad sold the car for $175 in 1986. The engine & trans were in great shape. Yes, the smog pump was removed.

If I owned that Lemans I don't think I would change a thing, being a survivor and all.

Green is good if this beastie is truly as good as it seems to be. I know three old guys in my neighborhood with gems like that in the garage, but I don't want to be rude and force an inquiry.

Car with same phone number and license plate number is on eBay for $3500 and ad says 170,000 kms.
Plot thickens.
( Interesting that 106,700miles x 1.6 = 170,720 km )

I told him my opinion was $2,500 to $3,500. I did not know it was being listed on ebay. I wonder how it is now 170,000 km. The car has MPH speedo and imperial measurement odometer confuse

I am the only one to see the car in person and it is very very nice. I saw no major issues at all, only positive things to say about this car. Based on what I saw the 6,722 was plausible. This is a very lightly used car.

The only reason I wanted to check with my aunt was to know whether it rolled over naturally or it had been tinkered with. I just want to give you guys all the accurate info. It just looks bad that the ebay add was found before I could respond. I did say on saturday that I would respond by today. You can make whatever you want out of it. If anything it's a testament to the condition the car was kept in.

Regardless of the mileage, I'd still be interested if my personal situation were different at the moment. At least with 106K on it I wouldn't be so afraid to drive it in fear of spoiling its originality! biggrin

The car looks good, but I think the color green will hold it back. I had a 74 Impala 4 dr ht with 35K miles on the 400, great car to drive, but the color did nothing for the car.

I saw a green '74 Cutlass sedan sitting on the trade-in lot at the local Kia dealer this weekend..
I called and a guy on the phone told me it has 42,000 original miles and is $3900 Obo..

Wait till the end of the summer and offer them a much lower price... you might just get lucky! If they're not into it for much, I'm sure they won't want it sitting around on the lot all winter...
