Heres some info/comments from Camaro site

Well here's my imput. I got my 1/4's through NPD, when they arrived both boxes had Classic Industries shipping stickers on them. When I talked to a guy from Goodmark he told me they sold the same part as Classic, which are made in Tiawan. I personally believe that only one place is stamping the full OEM "style" 1/4's.
The trunk weatherstrip gutter has to be welded onto the new 1/4 (the inside part of it). To remove it use a die grinder and grind off the old spotwelds where the weatherstrip was (you will be grinding on the old 1/4 not the chanel you want to save).

I checked with a guy I do business with regularly at NPD in Livonia, MI. He told me "Legion" is the manufacturer of most repo sheet metal parts for the first gen Camaros. He stated that Legion sells to virtually all the Camaro parts houses who then market them as they see fit. He also said parts houses often trade parts with each other when one place is in short supply of a part, change the carton or box, and sell them to the public.
The guy has always been straight with me but I can't guarantee this information to be absolutely true, but it does make sense.

Boy, did I open a can of worms or what? I think it is amazing what as a group we can learn (or teach)! I don't know about everyone else, but I have made up mind that there is probably only one manufacturer of 67-69 sheetmetal. So the pricing and all the hype about "their brand" being better than other manufactures is just BS. I'm not trying to get out cheap, I just like to know that my money is well spent. I wonder if any of the parts suppliers will tell this story like it really is?
What about dash pads, carpets, headliners, door panels? I wonder if all the parts are really made by one company and we got stuck on the idea of certain brands are better when in fact they are all the same.

From what I have read, if you can get away with a patch, you should do that. I was reading on the Nova forum the other night and someone illustrated the difference between the repro and original panel as far as the body line goes. The repro panel body line is not the same with, not as crisp and the "ramp" leading up to it is quite a bit different shape they say. Most guys say the repro panel is noticeably different.
I am not the most anal guy in the world as far as lines go and I have seen some cars with repro panels and thought they were ok but if you want it perfect or close to it, most people would suggest a patch from what I see.

Heres a comment on Fender suppliers from Nova site

the fenders Tamraz (e-bay)sells are under the Golden Legion name.....they are the same as Goodmark,Dynacorn.....manufactured at the same facility.

Thats the beautiful thing with this world, you can believe whatever you wish.

If you want to believe that the Golden Legion supplies all of the aftermarket parts, then so be it. If you wish to be led around by a nose ring, feel free.

I'm not trying to tell anyone who makes what parts. Just that there are many manufacturers and "not" just one.

TWE, Trim Parts, OER, Soffseal, PUI, Super soft, Golden Legion, Tri-Power.......etc. All aftermarket manufacturers who "make parts" for our cars.

Goodmark, Dynacorn, GoldenLeaf Automotive, Mar-K, Keystone, Keyparts.....etc. All Wholesale "suppliers" for the above manufacturers.

NNN, J&W Nova, Classic Ind, Lutty's Chevrolet, Classic Muscle, Cutting Edge Classics....etc. All retail outlets who sell parts from the above whole salers and manufacturers.

There are many levels within this industry and each has their knowledge of their parts. If the top levels were to share their secrets with the lower levels and the end users they would be out of business due to a large number of new wholesalers saturating the business.

okay,looks like i get to do a lot more research before i part with the bones. golden leaf seems quite pricey,500 + for a quarter, and no patch panels in the cataloque that i saw. ooooh boy.

I have put a set of aftermarket quarters on a 66 canso. They fit decent. I am a IP Bodyman with extensive experience in all fields of the trade. If you can get the parts, get them! If the rust is going around the wheel well, get the parts! If it (rust) is down low below a body line eg. behind the rear wheel patch it. Lines, curves accents can always be sharpened, dulled, recurved, or flatened to what you desire or need. 500$ a side sounds like a lot but the thought of trying to mud a quarter and make it razor straight. UUGGGHHH! Your time has to eventually count for something that could be spent with your significant other cruising in your ride instead of working on it. Pick your battles wisely. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Have you thought about gluing your quarters on? Less warpage (if clamped right), seam sealed, rust proofed, in one step. Mine at the glue joint to the clear coat is only 40mils thick. (40 thousandths of an inch thick)! An aftermarket paint job runs about 6mils thick. Cold fill should only be 1/8" thick when done. Pretty hard when patching around a wheel well.

Lots of feedback, which is great! Thanks. Here is what I decided to do. Called KMS and they have lower quarter patch panels for 229 a piece.they include the body line so I think I will get those as the rest of the 1/4 is in primo shape.I figure to cut the panel a 1/4 inch below the line and because I am a fool with too much time ,weld the new panels on.then lead the seams.I can see where gluing them on would work , and would be way faster but .......I don't know...maybe on my daily driver but...not my little 67. And the whole 1/4 is 763. there is a set of damaged 1/4 for 395 a piece if any one needs the whole panel KMS carparts in coquitlam b.c.

Way to go! Made a decision and going for it! Just wanted to say something about gluing a daily driver versus the show car. The gluing that I mentioned was the quarters on my convertible which is my avatar. 8yrs. and still strong, total thickness 40thousandths of an inch. Of course the downside is ghostlining so the location of your section is critical. Would love to see progression pics. Post them as you get them!

Well Ill chime in here on this one. It is starting to get to the point of get the parts while you can Granted sheet metal is a little easier. I have to agree with Laurentian about the glueing. I did it on my 66 sd and that was about 6 years ago. The first time we tried it was about 15 years ago on a 69 beaumont 2dr custom and still to this day there is not a mark on the car. We timed ourselves on the install after we had all the dry fitting done. From the time we cut the tube to walking away was 35 mins a 1/4. Absolutly no warpage. Real simple process and this is the only way I will install 1/4s now. If you want more info on it check out http://www.proformproducts.com/en/products/detail/?id=118 I used the 7770 with a 50 min work time for that extra little buffer. Since the first beaumont we have done probably about 15 cars with diffrent panels being done. From door skins, 1/4's to full trunk pans. I think you will be quite surprised at how stron this product really is. So thats my opinion on it. Ill gladly show you my car if you are interested in seeing how it was done
