Another stubble jumper

Hi I'm Scott.

I restore and rebuild all kinds of cars with a couple of my own on the go. First is 70 Impala rag top that my Mom bought as her first car in 74 from southern Manitoba. She chose it after taking an MG for a very disapointing test drive. It was also our wedding car. Numbers matching 350 2bbl but have upgraded to a 200R4 tranny. Second 74 chev half ton with factory wood floor, buckets console cheyenne truck. Painted, now to detail and assemble. 79 GL1000 Gold wing with matching 1950 General Motors "Frigidaire" trailer.
Look forward to all the discussions. Don't know the intricasies of all the poncho's but it is interesting reading.

Welcome here.

Can you be more specific about "Southern Manitoba"?

Welcome aboard!.
Any pics of the Frigidaire trailer?.

A couple GM houses in Selkirk were:
- Selkirk Motor Products - Selkirk Manitoba
- Malis Motors Ltd. - Selkirk Manitoba

The car was purchased used in 74 so it might not have come from a Dealership

The trailer is dated Oct 1950 by a sticker in the fridge. The nose cone/cooler is manufactured and was originally the compressor area. The rest is original and serves as storage for gear. Found in a dump very badly damaged but was the right dimensions. It is 1" narrower than my highway pegs so where the bike goes the trailer will follow. Goes over railway tracks at 70mph without so much as a hop or skip.

Very cool Scott!
Those fridges are made of real steel (like older cars).
I once had to move a simular fridge down 3 flights of stairs ... what a pig!
I like when they convert these vintage fridges into kegerators.

Sure doesn't sound familiar.

Thanks for the Frigidaire pics...very nicely done!!!
Pretty sure this is the same model my Grandparents had when I was a kid..
Does the door handle work in all directions...left, right, push & pull?.

Vintage streamliner style fridges are a hotter item than cars these days item especially those w/ a famous history!.
Sales I've seen in recent years include Big Daddy Roth's w/ the original Rat Fink drawing on the door plus the fridges from Don Yenko's also Grumpy Jenkins shops complete w/ old racing decals!.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

My ball team when I was a teenager was called the "stubble jumpers" figured it would be a good prairie handle and spark interest.

The handle on my fridge trailer is fully functional but only pulls up/out depending on which way you look at it. The front door was originally designed to hold shut by means of a bracket which would be sandwiched by the main door. It didn't work so I have a screw in it until i come up with something better.
