Hey Carl, I found my Challenger

427Carl,  You said I should write when I found my Challenger....well.....
The pressure is on.  I'm driving on Laird in Toronto and there it is under a tree, lemon yellow with black stripes and rally wheels and a lot of power under the hood.  And it's FOR SALE.  Couldn't get the number because I was rocking to work and it was raining and I was fumbling for my Crackberry--just an accident waiting to happen.  Will keep you posted.  Pix to follow.  It's pristine and it's a REAL CAR made of REAL IRON.   Eeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the heck, where on Laird is that car. I've been away for two weeks but Laird is my Hood for cryin out loud, two minutes from my driveway! Is it at the repair shop that sells classics near the Sunoco just down from Starbucks?

If I had the money I would be looking for the Challenger too. One of my only non GM dream cars. Send pics with list of options etc. You can get almost all body parts for the old ones.

First of all, it's a '69 Charger (it was raining yesterday and I didn't have my glasses on no) with a '70 Barracuda under the hood.  It has 400 horses and it needs transmission work.  For sale by second owner.  You can find it at Laird Automotive Services Ltd. 48 Laird Drive, and it belongs to Troy.  I took tons of pix and will spend rest of evening trying to figure out how to get them from a crackberry onto here.  IT SHURE IS PURDY.  Interior is mint.  No rust.  Asking $28.  That's a lot less than the new ones.  Hmmmmm.  But it's not a Challenger.  Arrrggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

And it's a Mopar.  I feel disloyal.

Tried to attach pix.  Hope it works.

Yup, that's the shop I was referring to. He has classics for sale all the time. Thanks for the photos.

Where do you live?

That garage is just across the bridge from my place. In fact I've seen that Charger drive by me in the mornings across O'Connor...

Ed works right across the street, you can see his shop in the rear end shot. I could phone him and see what's there! He told me about the Ford Wagon.

That's the place. Google has a nice picture. Every time we drive by it we usually look and see what's in the back.

It's an automatic AND he wants a Duster in trade.  I'm straying into Nova country now.  Red.  Black paste top.  Not a Pontiac but I'm getting closer.

Another pal has a '70 Challenger R/T 440 torqueflie car with A/C for sale. Mint green inside and out. Last time I heard he was looking for mid 40's. He did live in East York as well until very recently.

As for a new one I've been on the phone/internet all afternoon trying to get more info on a Furious Fuschia (Pink) one to go with the Plum Crazy Purple one we already have!

Furious Fuschia and Plum Crazy side by side will look great in the driveway. My husband and I have always matched our vehicles -- same colour. Neighbours think we're nuts. I love the orange a lot but he won't go for it. May wind up playing it safe with basic black.
