I need to wear a Beaumont L-79 t shirt, seems like everybody has had one.

Went to the local weekly car show here in Kelowna and got chatting with a guy who has been in Texas the last 18 years.  A good friend of mine went down there about 15 years ago to live and built a gorgeous RV resort.  He is still there.  This guy is just coming back to live more in Canada because of grandkids and such and he happened to have built an RV resort on the ocean at Corpus Cristi and is only 45 minutes from my buddie's resort.  So this guy has an absolutely gorgeous 35 Chev all rodded with Corvette running gear and independent suspension and all the goodies.  Another friend of mine comes over who knew this guy and the car talk starts.  Through the conversation my friend mentions to him that I have a Beaumont.  So he pipes up that he too had a Beaumont, a 65 with a 327 350 horse.  I couldn't believe my ears.  After running into the one guy in Kamloops on Saturday and now this guy on Wednesday I thought how is this happening as I've never even mentioned anything about these cars.  He bought his when it was a year old and kept it for 2 years trading it off for a 68 something or other with even more horsepower.  He said at the time he didn't care what the styling of the cars were as long as they had the horsepower.  His was red with white interior and was bought in Vancouver.  That was my little chuckle for the day.  How many of these were made anyhow?
