73SC, if you come on out I'll pick you up at the airport and drive you to where the car is.  Barons is about a 2 hr drive from here (less with my heavy foot).  The town with the "Superman" school is around there somewhere.    - for those who didn't know, the Superman moves were filmed around here in the '70's & '80's as the wheat fields around here look more like Kansas than Kansas does.

I don't recall seingthis thread before. confuse

The significant thing about this car is that it is indeed a Sport Coupe model F37 but it does not have rear side window louvers.

This body style was a mid year introduction, many believed that the louvered cars were too radical and not accepted so Pontiac made the Sport Coupe with the Colonade hardtop for the late run in 1973 only. A run of only 494 seems like a marketing disaster to me.

Starting in 1974 the Sport Coupe came with louvers or Oprera style window. In 1976 the colonade hardtop was dropped and standard LeMans came with opera windows.

The car posted will likely not be an Oshawa built car due to being a Colonade Hardtop F37. The only real differences between a regular D37 standard LeMans and F37 Sport Coupe were trim external and interior. Interior got simulated woodgrain inserts in places, more chrome trim outside. Inside Sport coupes got either bucket seats or notchback seat with armrest in vinyl, D37 would have been a standard cloth bench
