So for those members of Canadian Poncho wondering where I am so far on my trip back home. I'm in the salmon capital of the world Campbell River, BC. Yes, that right over 3000 miles just to get to another car show.
Two ferry trips and twenty nine hundred miles of driving in the last six days I'm back on Vancouver Island to participate at my last car show of the season. I'm at the local Starbucks in Campbell River as the hotel's wireless is down to send you guys this update. Not exactly a car guys place but it was close to the hotel.
Weather was good on the trip back except for rain in Tobermory, ON on Monday morning and Brandon, MB on Wednesday night. Beaumont Guru was at the St Vital mall near your house but was trying to make it to Brandon before the rain fell so we didn't stop by to say hi. Needless to say we didn't make it.
Trip across the prairies was great but didn't have the time to partake in any salvage yard cruises. They were so close yet time didn't permit stopping. Need more vacation time and others to help document the cars I saw.
Weather here in Campbell River is good about 20 C with sunshine reported for tomorrows show. Temperature earlier today before I got here was 23 C.
Will keep you guys advised of what happens tomorrow after the show.
To all those I met great to get to know you. I look forward to spending more time on the site coresponding with you about the cars we love.
Till tomorrow enjoy the open road.
PS the car ran great but needed a bath badly after travelling all that distance. Fifteen bucks later the car is cleaner but not one hundred percent show standard. Guess its back to the wash tomorrow morning for one last try.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
Well back at Starbucks to use their wireless again. Show was a blast over three hundred cars here in Campbell River. Unfortunately I left my camera in the hotel room and Maureen had the only key to the room. Sorry guys no pictures.
Parked next to a 69 Parisienne convertible which was in pretty good shape. Also got to see a 65 Beaumont convertible (yes a Beaumont not a Beaumont Custom or Sport Deluxe).
Car was a mid January car Ermine White with a Turquoise interior and White convertible top originally. Car is now red with a white interior and white convertible top.
Owner had his GM of Canada paper work very rare car at less than 100 built in 1965.
Weather here was good around 22 C with some cloudy periods. Also saw two 68 GTO's one a convertible the other a coupe owned by the same guy.
All in all a good show and I'm glad I was able to make it. Will post more when I get home.
