new albertan!

Hi there finally joined this site after browsing it for the past month!  I've got a 64 convertible that my dad and uncle bought NEW (as a demo) in edmonton.  I grew up loving and riding in this car and when I turned 16 it was given to me!!  I've driven it for the past 20 years and loved it more every day!  Now my little ones are in love with the "roof all gone!"  too.  It has: a 283/glide with 240,000 miles, the original top, we painted it back in 1986 and rebuilt the motor in 1989 , there is a few worn out bits that I hope to replace (mainly in the interior) now that i've got it back from Aubrey Bruneau.....he had it over the past year detailing the engine compartment....he did an awesome job, even though it took a little longer than planned.

Look forward to getting to know everyone who love's these cars as much as me!

Joel

Nice car. Good to hear Aubrey's name again. I don't know him but he seems to be known as a 61-64 guru. Is he back at work full time?

Yes he is back to work full time, I spent a few days with him and he really knows his stuff.  And as you can see he does great work when he finally gets around to it!  This is how the engine bay looked when I brought it too him (sorry for the poor quality pic).

Beautiful '64 Joel!
Danube Blue?
Your engine looks really sharp, right down to the baby blue (the correct colour) hood springs!

It's actually diplomat blue, but with a little more metallic in it which shows in the bright sunshine.

Gotta love the baby blue springs eh?!!!!  Plus the purple carb spring!
