1978 Canada Cup Grand LeMans 4 sale......not mine

Found this on my camera from early this year.  It might still be for sale. I can look at it if anyone has interest.

I'd be interested to know if it is a 301 or 305. I know Grand Am and Grand Prix got 301's. My hunch is being a Canadian car it is the 305 .

Hey GrandAmMan,
This car is 25 minutes east of Calgary Alberta. If you need more photos or someone to look at it, I live in the small town where the car is located.

Doesn't look like there were too many options on this car. I see no power windows or locks. Wonder if it has A/C or just vents in the dash?

This is one of my old cars that I owned a few years back, sold it to a fellow in Strathmore.  If anyone needs correct info on car, I have it as well full history.

It had a 305 V8, when I sold it.  I assume that's what still in car.   Car has 270 not 70.  I bought it from the original owner.

I figured it had a 305, Pontiac was still a bit anal about putting Pontiac engines in their top cars then like the Firebird , GP and GA but a Canadian LeMans could get a St. Catharines engine.

170,000! Thats a little different than 70,000.
Tilt wheel, no A/c, has a 305. Looks like a clock, but dummy gauges.
Owner also said it was $2,500 and wondered where I got $2,300 from.
Said he thought he was the 3rd owner.
Sounds like he may have a lot going on in his life right now, so may be honest mistakes.

I'm working on a couple of deals closer, so we'll see how those work out.
I would install the Grand Am header first thing if I got it.smile

Carnut, are those production numbers correct?
1,000 Pontiac cup cars (all white and red) with 100 V8 cars?

I would probablly paint it Roman Red with a Platinum bottom like my 1st 78 G/A.

270,000  disbeliefno    not 170,000  or 70,000

Neat pictures, the '78 Cup Edition LeMans is nowhere near as dramatic looking in my opinion as the '75 Cup Edition LeMans.

Now the $64,000 question that I know you are all thinking:

Did Pontiac make a Quebec edition of the '78 LeMans?
