 Is that 6 cyl SD?

I had heard a number around 400-600 at one point. My friend in Nebraska has one that was a 6. I think he has his GM documents. I can ask him if you like.

Thanks for the quick reply....much appreciated.

Car is currently black with the red/white stripe interior. The interior is original and in decent shape. Paint and body are excellent driver quality with no rust. All trim is there except missing a Sport Deluxe emblem on the passenger quarter. Did the 67 have the SD emblems just on the 1/4's? How about the Canso script? The fender louvers are there too!!

Powertrain is a 383 with a glide done with a kit and stall convertor. Posi 4.11's out back. Best of all in my opinion anyway....Cragar SS's with a perfect fit rear tire and great stance. Great sounding new dual exhaust. Manual steering and brakes. Too wet to drive last night. Going back when the rain stop for a better look in the light and a cruise.

I took a couple of pics and will try to get them up today. Not so great in the garage though...

Thanks again for the help...

 You going to Waterdown?

I know this is a bit of a personal thing and a car is only worth what someone is willing to spend on it but.... I would like to know what some of you guys think  this car might be worth...here is a description..

1967 Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe 6 cylinder hardtop. Originally Silverglaze metallic with red bucket interior.

Powertrain... solid 383 withdouble hump heads, performer intake, holley carb, hooker headers, dual exhaust with dynomax mufflers. Built by reputable engine builder. Powerglide with stall and shift kit. 10 bolt posi w 4:10 gears. Certainly not a highway car with this setup..lol  Lots of snap and appears to have no issues. New aluminum rad. Glide likes to be shifted manually as it waits too long to shift...only complaint there.

Body... Originally silver now painted black. 10-15 year old paint. Driver quality paint with a couple healthy chips, a couple small but hard to notice runs, looks like a spot hit with an egg with many minute chips. Body work is fair considering it's black. A couple sand marks and more work was needed on doors and fenders to make perfectly straight. Looks to have all original sheet metal with pinch welds and factory stamped #'s on the quarters. Chrome is driver quality. Nees a new front bumper, rear is ok. Mirrors could be chromed. Window trim is good. Trunk trim has a ding or two and some pitting. Rocker trim has some rash. Inside trunk could use paint. Looks solid underneath except one floor brace on passenger side has rotted away and a hole in support toward the outer mount. Needs a new support and some weld repair. Glass is original and in great shape except for a bruise and 6 inch crack in windshield.

Interior looks to be all original and quite good considering the age. Driver seat seam pulling aprt, crack in dash, one, one inch rip in headliner, need new package tray, kick panels need dye. Carpet is ok. Arm rest chrome needs to be redone and door panels are ok. Gauges all work along with heater. Has autometer tach and heat and oil pressure gauge. Console in great shape, very little pitting needs dye. Seat backs need some dye.

Brakes and front end are rebuilt with dual master cylinder and new lines.

Good rear tires and very decent Cragar SS wheels. Could use a new set of front tires.

Basically a VERY presentable 67 that could be driven a made very nice over time and of course with some money. Your opinions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

It certainly sounds like a great car. I think you need to know how you want to approach it.

If you are looking for a car to restore completely, it could be expensive as it's likely a full resto by the sound of it but a great candidate.

As a driver, it may be a lot more affordable. Some guys have to have a perfect car. Some are happy with a lot less. Which one are you?

My estimate on price would be $8500 for the car without engine and then around $12,000 with the engine and trans combo.
The market seems quite weak when it comes to cars that are not fully restored. It is a rare car and I would guess that if it was a completed restoration, it might be worth about $25 -$30,000. If it said Nova SS on it, well that's another story.....

This car is a beautiful car, just not a show car. Great for cruising and show and shines. Restoration is 15 or more years old and well looked after. Drives very well with new front end and brakes. Strong powertrain! I have followed 66/67 Nova SS's and Canso SD's for a long while  and even though not many come for sale close to me I felt I had a good idea of value. I went to $18k, but couldn't get the deal done.

As to what kind of car I in the market for,  you are correct this is a great driver that could have things bettered as we enjoy it. Not needing paint any time soon and with a good solid body it is the kind of car I am looking for.

Sorry to hear you weren't able to make a deal on this car. I would have thought $18,000 would have bought a car fitting the description you gave. Looks like guys are paying a little more for the 66 & 67 SD cars even if they are non-original. Recently heard about a non-original 67 Acadian SD 4spd selling for more than $20,000.
