One really weird phone call, does anyone speak Canadian?

I noticed a missed call on my cell a couple days ago.  I will quite often use the reverse phone number look-up to get an idea of who is calling prior to calling back.
The number was 777-889-1073, this struck me as unusual because I did not recall ever seeing a 777 area code before.  I choose not to call the number without an idea of where or who it came from.
This morning I left the room for a few minutes and when I returned, my cell indicated another missed call.  I checked and it came from the same number.  While I was debating whether to call back, the phone rang again and it was the same number.
I answered the phone and some young lady started speaking so fast I could not understand her name or where she was calling from.  I asked her to repeat it and all I caught was "blah, blah, Canadian, blah, blah".  I said please slow down I cannot understand a word your saying.  She repeated the introduction again and again all I understood was "Canadian".  I said "I'm sorry but all I heard was Canadian could you please help me understand where your calling from".  The phone went dead.
Well, first of all since the wife and I have both been retired we spent 8 mos in Michigan and 4 mos in Florida.  During our 8 mos in Michigan we make trips, 700 miles round trip to visit my daughter's family and 350 miles round to visit my son's family.  Therefore we only have two cell phones and no land line.  Our cell package doesn't cover calls to Canada, so a 10 min call to Canada can be $5 or more.
I thought I would post this here because at my rates, I have no plans to call her back and spend my dime trying to figure out what she wanted.  As this is the only communication I have with Canada on a regular basis, I am at a loss how or why someone would call me other than Canadian car guys.
Anyone familiar with area code 777??

I googled the number Norm and it's a long list of people complaining about calls from that number. Just ignore it I would say!

It appears that 777 is turning out to be only related to solicitors and scammers given the research I did on it when getting calls all the time from them. We too are on the "do not call" list but of course unless someone fines these dorks to the point of extinction, it's just a joke! Supposedly the U.S. government says they've handed out over $8 million dollars in fines; I'll bet. At any rate I agree with Carl, don't give them the time of day! It just keeps them bugging you if you do.
