Yup,that sounds like my sons rates.I don't know how a young guy can started these days.

I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS YOUNG AND HAD TO PAY THE BIG BUCKS FOR INSURANCE. I COULD ONLY AFFORD 6 MONTHS AT A TIME. JUST BEFORE MY INSURANCE WAS TO EXPIRE I LEARNED THAT A "NO INSURANCE" TICKET WAS 1/3 WHAT I WAS PAYING TO BE INSURED. MY YOUNG MIND REASONED THAT I COULD GET PULLED OVER AND TICKETED 3 TIMES FOR THE SAME PRICE. I GOT CAUGHT IN A CHECK-STOP ONE DAY, GAVE THE OFFICER EXPIRED INSURANCE PAPERS. HE WENT BACK TO HIS CAR. 5 MINUTES LATER HE RETURNED, HANDED ME MY PAPERWORK AND TOLD ME TO FIND A FRONT BUMPER BECAUSE HE COULD TICKET ME AND TOW THE CAR FOR NOT HAVING ONE. YES SIR biggrin !!! I GOT LUCKY AND HE DIDN'T LOOK OVER THE PAPERS VERY WELL. I WENT HOME, PHONED DAD AND BORROWED SOME MONEY TO GET INSURANCE! THING IS, I COULDN'T AFFORD THE INSURANCE HOW WOULD I HAVE PAID ANY TICKETS!!!no

LOL...20 YEARS LATER I STILL OWN THE CAR AND IT STILL HAS NO FRONT BUMPER.rofl.gif

They got one guy in Lindsay on his way to the cruise, stopped for visual emm. equipment check, then they invoked the new street racing law that states if officer thinks car is equiped to street race or suspected of it the vehicle can be confiscated. The guys said it was a "mid " 80's Olds cutlass, with B/B Chevy "blown & nitrious!! Pulled the plates & towed it to yard "apparently"!!!! Yep The "NANNY Province & Premier "DAD" gets another criminal [Cutlass] of the streets!!! Thats the 4th one I know of thats either been taken off the road or fined, but the 1st. on the "street racing law"

Now they're punishing us for crimes we may commit?  If they can do that than they should lock me up and throw away the key.rofl.gif

It would be nice for a kid to get some local driving experience before they have to drive to university!

Yup! I have been letting my 16 y.o. daughter learn to drive a manual transmission out in the GO parking lot. She doesn't stall it or bunny hop. She has been riding horses most of her life and is used to looking ahead and planning how to get to where she wants. With this "stupid" leftist-lation I will be the one driving everyone everywhere. What, as free people we are looked upon as being too stupid to learn, too incompetent?

Oh please pass legislation to save us from ourselves! We can't be trusted to think for ourselves. While you are at it, give the police a directive to have zero tolerance, make them a roadside judge and jury. Let's also make the the fines for the broadly defined "stunt driving" law so onerous it will fanancially ruin most people.

Free country my cowtwo.gif . Where?

None of my representatives asked me what I thought. I guess I can't say much if I haven't contacted my MP to give my view. Hmmm, just a thought, people.

ok, who can hear Hillar's comments on this topic?

I knew him fairly well (not as well as Ray and Mark) but I can hear his comments clear as day.  Asking Hillar about something relating to living in Ontario always got a good rant.
