Hi. Bob from London. Sold 66 clutch pedals earlier today. He tells me my 66 radio is 67 because of colour. You can maybe tell me. The sticker with ser# and model no# fell off a long time ago. How do I put pics on replies? Took out out of my 66 in 80`s. As far as I`am concerned the radio was put in the car the day it was built. Bought in 74 and written off same year. Thanks Bob. Could be the radio was replaced before I purchased car. What do you excperts think?

white Beaumont lettering is 67, if it was black ,, then 66...so I'm told.

I have a couple 66 radios here and they are both black lettering.

Thanks for the response. Is it a 67 radio that I have? Like I said all along bought car in 74 was toast same year. Removed radio in 70`s and installed in 62 Meteor winter beater just under dash, only two winters. What a great beater 221 V/8 stick.
Seems weird the radio was not orig. I appreciate all help in knowing what the h@@ll radio this is. I would never knowingly sell this as 66 if I did not think it was the orig. piece. Very sorry if I`am Wrong. I`am old school and take honesty very seriously.
Have sold some parts online and never had one complaint yet.

Checked my 66 radio.
Here's the numbers off it.
66M 6336
3393997
BEAUMONT is in black
dial says 6 8 10 12 14 16

Also checked 64 vs 65 radios
They appear to be the same except the numbers on the dials are different
64 = 5.5 7 9 11 14 delco 16
65 = 6 8 10 12 14 delco 18

Just as an aside this changing of the dial numbering and lettering has been going on with GM for some time. The difference between 53 and 54 Chev radios is a bowtie in the center of the 54 dial.

So what is the scale on the 67 dial?

The 66 with black letters is it suppose to have the bluish green back ground also or chrome??
