Agreed.  I'm sure he's got a lot of people ticked off at him.  It will be interesting to see how this shakes out...rip.gif

I saw this on Kijiji last night, about 2 hours after it was posted. I considered phoning but thought it would probably be too late and didn't want to wake anyone. I did however immediately send an email indicating I was very interested and asked for pictures. I followed up with a phone call to the fella early this morning. We spoke. A very nice fella. An ex bodyman. Knows that it's rare. Also mentioned that it had a couple of holes in it, but very restorable. (He also mentioned that it was a two barrel.) He said that he would be driving up there today and would send me pictures. Called him again mid afternoon. His wife (?) ansered and indicated that he was out of town regarding a car. Haven't seen anything yet. Curious to hear the outcome...

if it was a 1965 327 would it not have been a 4bbl

Yes, originally it would have to be a 4 barrel.

Good question. I know the 327's came in three versions...250hp, 300hp, 350hp. Perhaps the 250hp was a two barrel? (Otherwise I'm not sure if/why someone would modify it to a 2 barrel?)

I would say 250 was the old Rochester 4 Jet, 300 was the Carter and 350 was a Holley. All 4 barrels though.

Hmmmm. He made a point of saying it was a two barrel. (I wonder if he meant to say two speed?) We may never know...

Sorry fella's no pics, too much of a hurry to pickup my new car. After talking to John 10 mins after posting the ad. Got the truck and trailer ready to pick up the car that needs a front driver fender and a little rust repair around rear wheelwells. So 9hrs to PG, go out 15 miles from town to friends farm. He points to car, walking up to the front I notice front bumper and chrome are pushed in from pushing snow I presume. Interior and top okay for driver.  Rear tailights pushed into qtrs, snowploughing I guess. Softball size holes both sides of qtrs and inners. Frame rotted on passenger side front fender,  probably why they put on a chevelle fender, looked the same but no emblem. Now checking engine, he maybe a Ford guy but knows a 2 bbl, so checking eng  no on    front pad, to find that it didn't match owners manual.  I thanked him for the look and headed home.  10 bolt rear, the rocker chrome has pinhole rust, Paul, this  not a   project for the faint of heart. Quick list--- two fender, qtrs, front grill & bumper     HAVE FUN GUYS    NOT WANTING   Don

You drove 9 hours one way and it was not worth buying? Ouch.

Sometimes this old car hobby/infatuation can bite pretty hard.

It would of been a parts car for me, that's it if I bought it or not. Sounds like it's not worth much. So the motor wasn't matching and the rocker chrome was junk. Quite diferent than what the fellow said. Do I hear 1500.00!!
