This is generally the same condition as my 70 2+2 hardtop, with comparable mileage (mine has 38K miles).  I too am the second owner.   Not that mine is for sale, but I'd love to get $15K for it.

Clint, am I getting you mixed up when you bought your car versus this car?  I remember a story on a car like this but it may well have been you and not this one.  Sorry if I got everyone confused here.

Both my cars were bought from elderly people, my low mileage gold hardtop in 1999 from the original owner, and my yellow convertible from the 2nd owner in 2001.   I believe the green 69 2+2 listed here is the same one that Wayne (I believe his id is carnut70ls4) told the story of earlier this year.  If I recall, Ken (sixtywagon) posted some Deerfoot Cruise night photo's earlier in the year that showed the green 69 2+2.

That is one worth printing off for reference. Those wheel covers are the same as the ones we had on a 70 Tempest, are they standard ?

The 390HP 427 was the only engine with dual exhausts in 1969. Duals added to this one would put you at 345 HP, remember the 396 was a 2bbl at 265 HP. Even as is it is one of the hottest set ups.

Ray, you are right about BB dual exhausts as standard equipment, but my 69 335 hp 427 has factory installed dual exhaust (Code N10). You could get this on both the 427 and 396 engines in 69.

I forgot to check the Pontiac parts book last night but the Impala/Caprice 350 had optional dual exhaust as well and I am thinking likely the B body Pontiacs offered it on 350 as well.

My 69 Parisienne 427 convert had a 335 with single exhaust but the Grande Parisienne 4 door hardtop 335 I had was duals. It was a real loaded GM Zone executive car though so I suspect that's why.

N10 was generally optional on most Pontiac V8's I think you will find Carl. Most books show this option with an astrik indicating that the option adds 15% horsepower. If your engine was 335 HP single would be close to 385 with dual.

This is the power team chart for the 1969 Canadian Pontiac. Use the zoom to read it. All engines are shown as Single exhaust except the 390 HP 427. Yes N10 duals were optional so if you had a 350 300HP engine with duals it was not 300HP any more is was more like 345HP.

if this is your car of choice you should buy it as there is no way anyone here can restore one for that price. Great car !

Yup, I found an old post where Wayne (carnut70ls4) was talking about the process of buying this car.   He also has the red 70 2+2 454 car that was listed a year or so ago.

The green 2+2 seems light on performance options but looks to be in excellent condition.

Hi, 68 427 is the new owner.  It was a pleasure doing business with Mike a true gentleman and car conosur.  I had not posted about the sale to 68 427, as this is his collection and felt I should respect his privacy.  Thanks again Mike looking forward to seeing you in the future.  You should have a package from me a few days.

That has to be the upper end of price on one of these. We all know that minty BBC cars can't get $10,000 and in fact I have personally seen recent appraisal on such a BBC car that is exactly at $10,000. I also have personal knowledge of two 1969 427 cars selling in the last month, one at $3200 and another at $4,000, both in original condition and running. As newsletter editor of the CPSC- POCI I get a lot of information that never goes public. I like this car, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't be writing a cheque for $15,000 for it. Having said all that it strikes me that western appraisers are very liberal with values when compared to Ontario.

soft market, yes

but "minty" big blocks for $10,000 ?? that sounds like 15-20 years ago
