pics of my barn find ,67 Acadian Canso SD v8 car

Well folks and friends its gone from bad to worse to now worse yet.I went in for a second surgery on my right foot by the same Surgean Dr Rose. When he did the first surgery he cleaned out almost all.the infection leaving only a spot right below the big toe toenail. This infected area was the size of a dime. The Doc just removed it only to find the worst case which was what he expected the first time he did the surgery and left it there for the time being while the rest of the foot and toe recovered. The infection below the toenail has gone through the tendent and is had to be cut out, it has also gone into the bone right at the last knukle of the big toe. What does this mean, it means that if the anti- biotics dont kill the infection in my foot 100% in the next 2 weeks they will cut that right foot big toe off to save the rest of the foot.As the doc said, Jimmy your not out of the forest yet.Cheers friends P.S so yes Timbuk as of Dec 1 a bi-latiral hernia, now 2 surgerys on my foot and ive been in this hospital 19 days now and NO work on my car,lol

Jimmy and I spoke on the phone this afternoon for a fair bit. It was great to put a voice to the face Jimmy!

Guys, he has a long road ahead still. Let's remember him in our prayers and also I'm sure he could use any notes of encouragement you are willing to send. This would not only give him a boost but help him fill those long boring hours in the hospital.

When he talked today, he was out on a very short day pass (time off for good behaviour maybe???!!!)

Wow, somehow I missed this thread over the Holidays. Remember that things happen for a reason and we can't always understand why, being human and all. Jimmy, please stay positive and I will send out prayers on your behalf.  God bless! peace.gif

Was fun to catch up with Jimmy again and to see him up and about instead of in that hospital. Also good to see the car coming along so well and am waiting for the pictures in the next couple of days with its new color. Have a couple pictures, one with 2 of his great helpers and the other one of us two, we could be long lost brothers with the same barber.

Don't worry Jimmy, my neighbour paints his cars in a dusty old shed that he does the entire restoration in and the paint looks mint once he sands it etc. It will be fine.

Carl is right the only way to get a real nice paint job is to wet sand it any ways it will be fine.
